Video production co. wins contest for toy promotion
A Portland-based film and video production company has won a competition for a video it produced for toy company Hasbro.
Strongpaw Productions won first place for a video it made to promote Hasbro's line of Littlest Pet Shop toys, according to a press release. The video was co-produced by Allen Baldwin and David Meiklejohn and features local actor Daniel Noel, as well as the vocals of local actress Tavia Gilbert. Littlest Pet Shop is a line of collectible pets aimed at girls ages 7-9, according to the release. The video can be watched on Hasbro's YouTube page.
The contest was hosted by Poptent, a crowdsourcing community for creating videos. Video producers join as members and then can take assignments from companies like Southwest Airlines and Dannon to produce videos.
Strongpaw Productions makes video content for websites. The company's work includes music and concert videos and short films.
