Thomas College freezes tuition

Thomas College in Waterville is freezing tuition rates for the next academic year in part to help boost student retention.

The board of trustees recently approved the tuition freeze, which keeps the full-time student rate at $22,160, according to the Kennebec Journal. Fees for activities and technology will also remain steady at $610 and $470, respectively. Room and board for on-campus students, however, will increase 4%. Currently, the total annual cost for on-campus students is $31,940.

University of Maine System Trustees also recently approved freezing in-state tuition rates for the upcoming academic year.
