Natural gas service coming to midcoast

The state has signed an agreement with a Scarborough-based energy company to extend natural gas service to the state prison in Warren, as long as it also extends the line to Rockland. Self-Gen and Rockland officials in December first unveiled plans to extend a natural gas line from central Maine to the midcoast region.
The agreement is still being negotiated, but should be finalized in the next few weeks, according to the Back to article
