The U.S Postal Service plans to consolidate processing operations at its Hampden facility in Scarborough, affecting most of the 183 jobs there. But U.S. Sen. Susan Collins has submitted a postal reform bill that would keep the facility open. The Senate yesterday passed the measure; it now goes to the House.
