Portland planners OK Thompson's Point project

A plan to build a $105 million event center on Thompson's Point in Portland last night received unanimous approval from the city's planning board. Board members voted 4-0, giving final approval to The Forefront at Thompson's Point, which will include a hotel, restaurant, office space and a 4,800-seat event center.
