High-end real estate brokerage opens

A real estate brokerage that focuses on commercial and high-end residential properties has opened an office in Portland.

Lux Realty, a partnership between real estate brokers Daren Hebold and John Golden, has opened at 72 Commercial St. The firm, licensed in both Maine and New York, is focused on office, hotel, multi-family and luxury residential properties in the range of $5 million to $100 million, according to a press release from the company. It also seeks off-market properties or latent investment opportunities for its clientele.

Hebold, CCIM, has brokered and owned commercial real estate in Maine since 2004, most recently as an agent with Daigle Commercial Group in Portland. Golden has brokered real estate since 1987 in both New York and Maine, and closed deals in New York City, the Hamptons and coastal Maine. Collectively, the two brokers have transacted over $1 billion of commercial properties in their careers, according to the release.
