Maine job count up in latest figures

Maine saw growth in jobs from June to July while job openings decreased nationwide, according to the latest figures from the U.S. Department of Labor.
Those figures, released Tuesday, show that the number of Maine jobs grew 3% from a seasonally adjusted 592,700 in June to 594,500.
Nationally, the number of job openings dropped from 3.72 million to 3.67 million. ...
