Woman arrested in Rockland fraud case

A Rockland woman has been arrested after allegedly misappropriating $540,000 from bank accounts while she worked at Rockland Savings Bank.

Shauna Quinn, 44, made her first appearance in court Monday on those charges, according to the Bangor Daily News.

Quinn was previously the subject of a related civil lawsuit brought forth by her brother, Christopher Wellman, who alleged that Quinn used his name in creating a line of credit that she used for herself.

The bank fired Quinn in 2011 after the alleged fraud.

U.S. Magistrate Judge John H. Rich III on Monday ordered Quinn to be held without bail in the case being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney's Office.
