The Bangor Daily News reported Monday that Maine Gov. Paul LePage has sent letters to President Barack Obama and members of the state's congressional delegation to express his opposition to any efforts to designate certain Gulf of Maine and forest areas as national monuments. The areas of concern are Cashes Ledge, a crucial area for Atlantic cod, and land in the Millinocket region that's been proposed by Roxanne Quimby and her son Lucas St. Clair for a national park.
Do you support Gov. LePage's preemptive opposition to the potential designation of Cashes Ledge in the Gulf of Maine and forest areas in the Millinocket region as national monuments?
