Maine Office of Tourism Director Carolann Ouellette says 2016's tourism revenue figures are tracking at levels likely to surpass last year's $5.65 billion in tourism spending. Even so, the office's $13.6 million budget is roughly half the amount that Chris Fogg, CEO of the Maine Tourism Association, would like to see, according to a Maine Public report.
