The Maine Public Utilities Commission announced Monday that it needs more time to decide its proposed rule that would gradually change financial incentives designed to encourage consumers to install solar panels on their homes or small businesses. But the newly elected 128th Legislature also is likely to take up net metering within a broad array of solar-power measures in a solar stakeholders bill that lawmakers had approved last spring but which was successfully vetoed by Gov. Paul LePage.
