Father-son developers plan Starbucks for Biddeford crossroad

The Five Points Intersection in Biddeford, a major crossroad, is being eyed as the site for a new Starbucks coffee shop.

The Journal Tribune reported the Biddeford Planning Board has reviewed updated construction plans for a Starbucks at the intersection, submitted by father-son developers Bill and Patrick Donahue.

The redesign offers better visibility, Project Manager Bill Thompson said at the board’s recent review.

The board generally approved of the redesign, but expressed concerns over traffic flow and parking. “With a high volume business like this I worry, at 7 a.m., you’re going to have traffic backed up right onto (Route) 111,” said board member Matthew Boutet.
