Portland-based solar installer ReVision Energy was recently ranked the No. 1 rooftop solar contractor in New England and No. 14 nationwide by Solar Power World magazine

"We are incredibly proud of our team of world-class solar installers," Phil Coupe, one of the company's co-founders, said in a news release. "Every single day we are focused on accelerating the transition to clean, renewable solar electricity and helping Mainers achieve long-term economic and environmental sustainability."

Coupe noted that modern solar technology, combined with hyper-efficient heat pumps, electric vehicle charging and battery storage is enabling Mainers to make the cost-effective switch to a 100% solar energy lifestyle.

"The cost for solar panels has dropped by more than 75% over the past 10 years, making it practical for Mainers to invest in a technology that comes with a 25-year warranty and proven ability to perform well in our region,” Coupe said, adding that Maine’s annual sunshine is equal to Houston and only 10% less than Florida’s annual solar resource.

ReVision Energy is a certified B Corp, committed to creating maximum positive societal impact rather than the traditional business approach of maximizing returns for shareholders and stakeholders. "We believe our commitment to the communities where we live and work is the biggest factor in achieving these high rankings relative to our regional and national peers," said Coupe.

Since 2003 ReVision Energy has installed more than 6,000 solar energy systems in northern New England.
