New brewery ready to quadruple production with Gorham purchase

Lone Pine Brewing Co. in Portland has purchased the Sebago Brewing Co. property in a Gorham industrial park, with plans to quadruple production next year.

The Bangor Daily News reported that Lone Pine, which started 16 months ago, will retain its tasting room and brewery in Portland, with plans to add as many as seven new workers to its current 10. Co-founder John Paul told the BDN that Lone Pine could produce as many as 1,800 barrels this year.

Sebago Brewing will remain in the Gorham facility until early 2018, and then will also move into a larger facility nearby.

“This result represents a win-win not only for two Maine brewers, but also the town of Gorham, which will undoubtedly see an increase in beer tourism as they begin to create a cluster of breweries in the area,” Sean Sullivan, executive director of the Maine Brewers’ Guild, told the BDN.
