Condo building planned at former city-owned site in Portland

Plans are solidifying for a former city-owned parcel in Portland’s West Bayside neighborhood.

Developer Jack Soley, representing Horton LLC, submitted plans for a 23-unit condominium building at 56 Parris St.

The proposal calls for a 14,132-square-foot building, with parking for 23 vehicles and 23 bicycles. The lot size is 10,302 square feet. The property is located in the B-2b zone and is subject to Portland's subdivision and site plan standards, according to the Portland Planning Division.

In accordance with the Portland Land Use Ordinance, notices of receipt of a subdivision application must be sent to property owners within 500 feet of the subdivision, or 1,000 ft. if the subdivision is located in an industrial zone. Plans are available for viewing at the Planning Division at City Hall, 4th Floor.

Soley is one of several developers who purchased lots that were formerly part of a city-owned maintenance compound.
