Bangor Publishing acquires Pulse Marketing Agency

Bangor Publishing Co., parent company of the Bangor Daily News, announced Thursday its acquisition of Pulse Marketing Agency, a Bangor-based marketing and advertising agency.

Pulse Marketing Agency was founded in 2009 by Cíntia Miranda, a veteran marketer with nearly two decades of marketing and advertising background both in the United States and abroad. Since its inception, the agency has offered high-quality marketing and advertising services to clients of various sizes in Maine, New England and beyond.

The agency will remain headquartered in Bangor and continue to operate under Miranda’s leadership with the addition of more staff and a significantly larger menu of digital marketing services.

“I’m very excited about the future,” Miranda said in a news release. “Our team of marketing professionals is very strong and we’re working diligently to make this transition seamless to our current clients, while crafting new service packages to help businesses in Maine achieve their marketing and sales goals in 2019.”

The acquisition of Pulse Marketing Agency represents an exciting step for the Bangor Publishing Co. and confirms its commitment to invest in and grow its digital business.

Bangor Publishing Co. is a family-owned operation, now in its fourth generation. The company Bangor Daily News, Bangor Metro Magazine, and weekly geographically targeted publications in Maine.
