10 years ago, Mainebiz launched our Women to Watch award recognition program as a way to bring attention to top-notch women executives, women whose daily work strengthens their organizations and by extension, Maine's economy. Now, after 10 years, Mainebiz has honored 46 women, including this year's newest honorees.
Mainebiz is proud to present the 2018 Women to Watch. This year we had so many great nominees. They come from a range of industries and each have an interesting story to tell. Each is a strong leader in her own way — and we think you'll agree these Women to Watch are blazing a trail in the Maine economy.

About The Reception
Reception Timeline
Beth Shissler, President & Chief Operating Officer of Sea Bags, LLC.
Beth built her career in sales distribution working for global companies such as Northern Telecom and Philips Electronics. This experience in sales, distribution, and operations gave Beth the confidence and resources to return to Maine and buy into, incorporate, and build Sea Bags. Beth created Sea Bags on the founding principles on being green in product/practice, being made in Maine, and acting as good stewards to our community and State. Sea Bags still operates on the same principles. By the end of this summer Sea Bags will employ over 100 people and have 16 storefronts.
Thank you to all those who submitted nominations this year!
