Norway health care businesses raided

State and federal investigators raided two Norway business offices Tuesday and seized boxes of records and documents as part of an ongoing investigation.

Agents from the health care crimes unit of the Maine Attorney General's Office, the FBI and the Office of the U.S. Health Inspector's Health and Human Services division searched two downtown offices at 172 and 180 Main St. and removed evidence related to an investigation, according to the Sun Journal. A spokeswoman for the Attorney General's Office did not say which businesses were targeted or why. Three businesses are listed as operating at 172 Main St. -- Opal Consulting, New Horizon Capital Investments LLC and Mystic Tours and Travel -- while Living Independence Network Corp. and Infinite Horizons are located at 180 Main St.

Norway resident Dawn Cummins Solomon is listed with the Secretary of State's Office as president and director of Opal Consulting, New Horizon, Living Independence Network and Infinite Horizons, according to the paper. The businesses focus on alternative health care and healing, and case management for independent living.
