Cheapflights.com, a flight reservation company, has named the Portland International Jetport the region's most affordable airport.
Cheapflights conducted a survey based on June 2011 data using the top 101 most searched airports by Cheapflights.com users, averaging the prices they found on flights to popular domestic and international destinations, according to a press release. Other airports included in the region are Boston's Logan airport and the Manchester, N.H., airport.
Portland's jetport ranked third in New England and 49th in the country with an average fare of $394. Out of all New England airports, Connecticut's Bradley International and Rhode Island's Theodore Francis Green State were cheaper.
