L.L.Bean logs pre-recession level revenue, $1.5B

L.L.Bean announced on Friday that it closed its 2012 fiscal year with $1.52 billion in revenue, returning to pre-recession levels, according to The Associated Press.

The company announced in a press release that those revenue totals mean the company will also pay out 7.5% performance bonuses to its nearly 5,000 full- and part-time employees.

Chris McCormick, L.L.Bean president and CEO, said the company also doubled its online investments since 2010 as it prepares to shift to more online and mobile sales.

In the last fiscal year, ending Feb. 23, the company also reported the best sales for men's and women's apparel and sporting goods in the company's 100-year history.

The company also continued an international expansion, opening its 20th store in Japan and five new stores in China.
