Black Bear Aviation seeks Waterville expansion

Black Bear Aviation, an airplane repair and maintenance company based at the Dexter Regional Airport, has reached a lease agreement with Waterville officials to expand its operations at the city’s Robert LaFleur Municipal Airport.

The Morning Sentinel reported the company plans to operate within the main hangar of the city’s municipal airport and rent office space in the terminal building. The company said in a Facebook post that it plans to complete its move by June. The move would allow the company to service corporate aircraft, which the company said it cannot do in its current space at the Dexter airport.

City officials will consider terms of the lease agreement at a meeting Tuesday night.
