GWI, S. Portland partners for high-speed Internet

GWI and the city of South Portland are partnering to develop high-speed Internet access for residents and businesses in a move that mirrors recent efforts in Rockport.

The high-speed fiber-optic connection will provide a connection speed of 1,000 megabits per second, meaning that it will be able to transfer around 125 megabytes of memory per second.
