Biddeford firm wins $10 million Navy contract

Oak Point Associates, a Biddeford architectural, engineering and design firm, signed a $10 million Navy contract on Wednesday to design and engineer improvements at Navy facilities along the East Coast. Its first job will be an $800,000 project to repair and improve three buildings at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery.

The Portland Press Herald reported the Kittery shipyard project involves increasing energy and operational efficiency on the three former barracks buildings that have been converted into office space.

The newspaper reported that the multi-year contract will include projects slated for Navy facilities throughout the mid-Atlantic.
