Summit reimburses nearly 400 customers

Summit Natural Gas of Maine has reimbursed nearly 400 customers in the Kennebec Valley area as a result of falling behind schedule in delivering service.

The Kennebec Journal reported that the total money paid to customers was $111,200. Summit’s reimbursement plan was triggered after customers who were promised natural gas in November had yet to be connected by mid-December.

Stacey Fitts, a company spokeswoman, told the newspaper that weather, along with other factors, caused Summit to miss its deadlines.
