Mega lands $100K contract with New Mexico lab

Gorham manufacturer Mega Industries has received a $98,452 contract to finish work on a high-power radio frequency system at Los Alamos Neutron Science Center in New Mexico.

The company said Thursday that the contract for the science center covers the system’s third and last radio frequency installation, which will happen next year. The company has been awarded a total of $450,000 for all of its work on the system, which began last year and will help “restore high power” at the science center, according to its announcement.

“Our manufacturing processes were successful giving a sense of pride spread throughout MEGA Industries’ facility,” Peter Matthews, Mega’s chief technical officer, said in a statement. “It is exciting realizing that we have played a significant role in providing the pieces required to restore high power at LANSCE.”

The science center is part of the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, N.M.
