Maine heating oil prices remain steady
The average statewide cash price for heating oil of $2.05 per gallon is up one cent from two weeks ago, according to the heating price survey released Tuesday by the Maine Governor’s Energy Office.
The highest average price for heating oil in Maine was $2.08 per gallon in eastern and central Maine. The lowest average price was $1.97 per gallon in western Maine. The highest heating oil price found in Maine was $2.37 in the eastern part of the state.
The average statewide kerosene price this week was $2.61 per gallon, also up one cent, and the average statewide propane price was $2.18 per gallon, unchanged from two weeks ago.
All three statewide average prices have remained essentially the same since the heating season began Oct. 1, the energy office said.
