Significant York Village building could change hands

An anchor building in York Village currently occupied by the Museums of Old York is expected to go on the market in 2017.

Seacoast Online reported that the organization plans to relocate its administration building on York Street and consolidate its offices at the Elizabeth Perkins House at the corner of Seabury and South Side roads.

The goal is to convert the Elizabeth Perkins House over the next year to 18 months.

Museums of Old York Director Joel Lefever, also a member of the York Village Study Committee, told Seacoast he is excited about the prospect of seeing the former bank building used for commercial purposes. He said it would be a wonderful addition to the village.
