A look at how liquor prices will change Feb. 1

If you’re concerned about the price of your favorite liquors starting Feb. 1, Darren Fishell of the Bangor Daily News has set out a nice array of charts for you to check your libations.

The price changes will result from the Maine Bureau of Alcoholic Beverages and Lottery Operations change in how it determines what portion of liquor sales it gets in Maine. That translates into price changes in hundreds of products, including common ones.

Fishell notes that among the top 215 liquors the largest decrease will be for Five O’Clock Vodka’s 375-milliliter bottle, which will be cut 25% to $4.49 from $6. However, Orloff’s 1.75-liter bottle will rise 50 cents to $13.49. And the state’s most popular liquor, Allen’s Coffee Brandy won’t see a price change except for its 375-milliliter bottle, which will go up 50 cents to $6.49.
