FirstPark business partnership looks to spur global interest
The 285-acre Oakland-based business campus, FirstPark, has announced a partnership with the Portland-based commercial real estate company, SVN The Urbanek Group, to spur development at the Kennebec Regional Development Authority owned and operated business park.
“Business is moving at FirstPark and developers have a tremendous opportunity for return,” said Brad Jackson, executive director of KRDA, in a prepared statement. “We will be working strategically with SVN The Urbanek Group to make sure those opportunities are realized, leveraging key relationships and offering developers flexibility.”
The partnership between the two companies looks to support the global goals of the business park, which includes tenants like T-Mobile and MaineGeneral Imaging Services, by offering developer friendly opportunities to include leaseholds attached to pre-permitted sites with protective covenants.
“FirstPark has the location, established infrastructure, technological capacity and qualified workforce that growing companies need to succeed in a 21st century economy,” said James Betzer, senior advisor at SVN The Urbanek group, in a statement.
