Lisbon Falls is the spot for the newest retail location of the Brunswick-based Frosty’s Donuts, following a Friday opening at 700 Lisbon. St. in the town’s downtown district.

Frosty’s co-owner Shelby Omdal told The Times Record that the newest location was a “perfect fit” for the company.

“We’re not a city business at all. We’re more of a Main Street business,” Omdal told The Times Record.

The town of Lisbon granted the company a loan to purchase the building and to fund the lengthy two months of construction and renovation needed, which was complicated by a bursting pipe requiring the building to be completely gutted, according to The Times Record.

Tracey Steuber, Lisbon’s economic and community development director, said town officials are excited that Frosty’s chose to set up shop in Lisbon Falls, telling the Times Record that “any growth that occurs creates a domino effect.”
