Brunswick Landing's popularity brings investment to community at large

The growing popularity of the Brunswick Landing business campus is a factor in a planned multi-million dollar revitalization project at the campus of St. John’s Catholic School in Brunswick.

A fundraising campaign has begun for a multi-stage revitalization project. The first stage of the project is the construction of a $4.8 million multipurpose center on St. John’s campus that will include a gymnasium, stage, music room, offices and meeting rooms, The Times Record reports.

“We don’t want a big building out here that’s going to detract from the neighborhood or detract from the church,” All Saints Parish Pastor Father Frank Murray told The Times Record.

Murray said that the revitalization project, which in addition to the multipurpose center will include construction of a new academic building, is an example of St. John’s investment to meet the needs of young families moving to Brunswick for work at the Brunswick Landing business campus.

“We need to be ready for when more companies come in to the base with young families and families coming from parts of the country where there’s a plethora of Catholic schools,” Murray told The Times Record. “We can’t sit back and wait until they all get here and then say, ‘Well, now we need to do something.’”
