Bangor music studio trades downtown for Brewer waterfront
Main Street Music Studios, a full-service music recording and instructional space that has called 49 Main St. in downtown Bangor home for the past eight years, has moved its business to a building in Brewer, along the banks of the Penobscot River.
The Bangor Daily News reports that the move to a new location has always been a part of Andrew Clifford’s 10-year plan for the business.
“We wanted to invest and own a property so we can control our future and expand,” Clifford, who started the studio eight years ago, told the BDN.
Main Street Music Studios’ new home, at 379 S.Main St. in Brewer, had been a bakery and café, with the latter now having a new lease on life as a recording studio. An attached house will hold teaching rooms for eight music instructors.
