QT’s Ice Cream finds new, quieter location in Wiscasset

QT’s Ice Cream Parlor, the Wiscasset homemade ice cream maker known for its roster of 26 flavors including one made from pureed lobster, has found a new home: It’s moving from its high-traffic location next to Red’s Eats to 2 Water St., on the town’s Waterfront Pier.

The Lincoln County News spoke to Tammy and Quintin Brooks, the wife-and-husband owners of QT’s, about the move. Although QT’s new home is removed from the hustle and bustle of downtown Wiscasset, the new waterfront location provides a respite from the crowds regularly gathered to get a taste of Red’s famous lobster rolls.

“I love the view, even though it’s been a bit slower,” Tammy Brooks, told Lincoln County News. “Not many people get this office view.”

So far, Tammy told the paper that the biggest challenge so far is letting people know that QT’s is now just a short walk away from its old location.
