Trump to make third campaign stop in Maine

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will be making his third campaign stop in Maine on Thursday in Portland.
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is returning to Maine for the third time this election season, as the real estate mogul is slated to visit Portland on Thursday.
Nina McLaughlin, the communications director of the Maine Republican Party, confirmed to WCSH-TV-6 that Trump will be making his second stop to the state’s most populated city this week.
The presidential hopeful held a rally in Portland in March and another in Bangor at the end of June.
WCSH reports that exactly where and when Trump will be speaking in Portland on Thursday is still unknown. The Portland Police Department told the station that they have yet to receive word on the campaign stop from the Trump team.
The Portland Press Herald reports that a visit from a Republican presidential nominee during the final 100 days of the election season is rare for the state. Maine hasn’t voted for a Republican presidential candidate since 1988 when George H.W. Bush won the state over Michael Dukakis.
