Don't miss out: 2016 Next List nominations close Friday

The deadline for nominations for Mainebiz’s 13th annual Next List is fast approaching, as submissions close at the end of the business day on Friday, Aug. 26.

What’s the Next List?

Every year since 2003, Mainebiz has chosen 10 people who we think are defining, shaping and influencing Maine’s future — we call them Nexters. This program honors business-savvy individuals, nominated by their peers and colleagues, who are:

  • True entrepreneurs
  • Forward-thinking leaders
  • Positive motivators for change
  • Problem-solvers who take a fresh approach

Mainebiz needs your help to recognize these dynamic individuals who are trailblazers in their industry. To identify these business mavericks and future Nexters, we're opening the nomination process up to you online.

Momentum Convention

Mainebiz’s 2016 Momentum Convention is also fast approaching with over 100 businesses and more than 1,500 of the business-minded set to take over the Augusta Civic Center on Nov. 9. This year’s theme is “Navigating the Future.”

Richard d'Abo, the chairman of the board of Eimskip, the Icelandic shipping company that in 2013 decided to make Portland its only port of call in the United States, will deliver the annual keynote address focusing on the future of business in Maine.
