Unlikely combo of tech, clothing comes to Fort Kent
Peanut butter and jelly, cookies and milk — some combinations are just meant to be, while others take a little explaining to truly make sense, like a new consumer electronics repair and name-brand clothing store in Fort Kent.
Fiddlehead Focus spoke to Karen and Julian Kidney, the owners of Tech N Trenz, a newly opened store that offers customers both electronics repair and clothing. Karen told the Focus that opening the store allows her and her husband to work together and provides Fort Kent residents with a place to shop for clothing and footwear, something she told the Focus the community needed.
“It’s more convenient,” Karen told the Focus. “Some like to buy online, but for some it’s easier to try things on first.”
Julian will be running the consumer electronics side of Tech N Trenz. According to the Focus, he has been running a computer repair business for the last 15 years, in addition to working at a Fort Kent-based shoe distributor with his wife.
