Good To-Go, a Kittery-based food manufacturer whose dehydrated outdoor-use gourmet meals can be found on the shelves over 400 stores, officially wrapped up its 3,700-square-foot expansion at its York County headquarters.

According to the husband-and-wife co-founders, David Koorits and Jennifer Scism, the expansion was needed to keep up with the high demand for their products by adding larger dehydrators and kettles to the kitchen.

During the first full month in the new building, meal production increased by 43%, running just one shift a day, versus the three the brand had previously been running. The company also hired five new employees to assist with the expanded production capabilities.

“The expansion of our production facility and the additional staff was critical for us to address growth in a timely manner,” Koorits said. “The space is working out better than expected and Jen and I are really proud of the team we have in place — they make everything possible and got us up and running in the new facility quickly and smoothly.”
