Brunswick studies plan for access road to Cook's Corner

Brunswick is studying whether to add an access road that could speed travel between Brunswick Landing and Cook's Corner.

The Forecaster reported that Town Manager John Eldridge said a road of 1,500 feet could connect the Cook's Corner shopping area with Route 24, near Perryman Drive.

The town hired Milone and MacBroom, a Portland consulting firm, to study whether the cost and other factors would make an access road feasible.

To pay for such a road, the town council has raised the possibility of using tax increment financing money from the zone that includes Brunswick Landing.
