Bangor Savings Bank opens Augusta branch

Bangor Savings Bank opened a new full-service branch in Augusta on Feb. 2.
The location at 127 Community Drive offers personal and business banking services and a 24-hour ATM.
Bangor Savings Bank President and CEO Bob Montgomery-Rice welcomed community leaders, business partners and bank employees to the grand opening ceremony, including Augusta Mayor David Rollins.
“The opening here at Community Drive strengthens our commitment to providing the best banking services to the people of the capitol region,” said Montgomery-Rice. “This investment is another way for the bank to let current and potential customers know that they matter more.”
Bangor Savings Bank has nearly 800 employees statewide and eight bank branches in Kennebec and Somerset Counties. The bank has 54 locations throughout Maine.
Bangor Savings, with more with more than $3.6 billion in assets, has been New England‘s top-rated bank each of the past two years in the J.D. Power and Associates Retail Banking Satisfaction Study.
The bank and its foundation created in 1997, Bangor Savings Bank Foundation, invest more than $1.5 million annually into the community through nonprofit sponsorships, grants and partnership initiatives.
