Retail, residential development planned for Boothbay Harbor

Route 27, on the approach to Boothbay Harbor, could see retail and housing development on a 30-acre parcel.

The Boothbay Register reported that Seascape Investments LLC and Seascape Construction LLC — whose owners have a year-round home in East Boothbay — purchased 18 acres that was formerly the site of Harbor Motor Court, and Seascape Construction purchased an adjacent 12-acre parcel.

Seascape Investments agent and property manager Peter Ripley told the newspaper that plans call for construction of retail, a marine lumber supply business, storage units for heated boat storage and residential housing.

“The Seascape LLCs' owners are excited to work with the town of Boothbay Harbor to develop these properties,” Ripley told the weekly newspaper.
