Hops House 99, a restaurant at Hollywood Casino Hotel & Raceway in Bangor, will host a job fair Thursday.
A key selling point is likely to be signing bonuses for certain positions, the casino said. The executive chef and food-and-beverage managers are authorized to make offers on the spot.
The job fair, which will be Aug. 10, from 5-7 p.m., will take place at the casino restaurant. According to the casino’s web site, signing bonuses are available for cooks and a garde manger position.
“Since Hops House 99 opened last fall, we’ve heard plenty of great feedback and the popularity continues to grow,” said Jose Flores, general manager of Hollywood Casino Hotel & Raceway. “Like Hollywood Casino, Hops House 99 is a tremendous place to work with a great team in place and lots of opportunities to learn and grow professionally. This job fair will be fairly unique and will give people who are interested in applying the chance to see what Hops House 99 is all about.”
Positions posted on the casino’s website include banquet server, beverage server, buffet server, casino operations assistant shift manager, cooks, demi chef, entertainer, garde manger, lead slot attendant, poker dealer.
Hollywood Casino Hotel & Raceway is owned by Penn National Gaming Inc. (NASDAQ: PENN), a resort and casino company based in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania.
The Bangor property, at 500 Main St., has 800 slot machines, 18 table games (including live poker) a Race Book simulcast betting parlor, 152 hotel rooms and suites. Live harness racing takes place May-November.
