Acquisition expands Auburn company's footprint into Rhode Island

Auburn-based Connectivity Point Design & Installation LLC announced Monday it had acquired the assets of Computer Telephone Inc. based in Warwick, R.I.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

“Since 2002 we have focused on growing the business geographically by adding quality products and team members,” Doug Watt, president and CEO of Connectivity Point, said in a news release. “The acquisition of Computer Telephone Inc. allows us to perform project work and respond quickly to service requests using our own team of licensed and skilled estimators, project managers and technicians. We are excited to bring the high-quality work we currently provide in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts to Rhode Island and elsewhere as we continue to grow.”

The acquisition is a strategic part of Connectivity Point’s expansion of its operations into Rhode Island. It will be retaining key employees, including Tom Towhill, previous owner of Computer Telephone and current vice president of sales and marketing, who will be employed as Connectivity Point’s territory sales manager in southern New England.

Watt will remain president and CEO of Connectivity Point. Connectivity Point now has 120 employees and nearly 1,000 customers across New England.
