Boothbay Harbor multi-use building will soon be ready for commercial occupants

BOOTHBAY HARBOR — A new development at the site of a former bowling alley at 19 By-Way will be ready for tenants after a renovation.

A 6,000-square-foot unit in the two-story 15,000-square-foot mixed use building is being offered for lease as one retail space, or split space of 3,000 square feet each, by Katie Millett at NAI Dunham. The property is owned by 8 Wharf Street LLC.

Romar Bowling Lanes was torn down last year to make room for the development. The 16,000-square-foot building had been vacant since 2011 and was not salvageable, owner Rahul Anand of 8 Wharf St. told the Boothbay Register in January 2017.

The new property is Class A mixed space, with commercial space on the ground floor and residential units on the second floor, and the commercial space should be ready for lease this summer.

The development includes multiple first class updates, according to the listing. It has access to Rowe’s Wharf Marina, 23 parking spaces and 120 feet of frontage on the south side of the Boothbay Harbor footbridge.

“The building provides retailers with the unique opportunity to lease a highly visible site in the middle of downtown Boothbay Harbor,” the listing says.
