Barber Foods issues recall

11/10/08

Barber Foods Co., a food processor based in Portland, is recalling 41,415 pounds of frozen chicken after a number of customers complained of finding bits of rubber in their products.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture says the recall applies to selected stuffed chicken Kiev products sold under the Schwan's label and made available for catalog or Internet purchase from Schwan's Home Service Inc., according to the Associated Press. No injuries have been reported.
