Franklin Savings Bank adds multi-industry professional as HR director

Franklin Savings Bank, which operates eight branches in Maine, has hired Michelle Grimnes as vice president and human resources director. 

In her new role, Grimnes will spearhead initiatives to create a thriving workplace culture, improve employee engagement, and enhance talent development across the organization.

Grimnes has over two decades of experience in human resources and holds the credential of senior certified professional from the Society for Human Resource Management.

Prior to joining Franklin Savings Bank, Grimnes held key leadership positions in various industries, where she implemented HR strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent. 

She held HR roles at Wright-Ryan Construction, Ransom Consulting Inc., Spectrum Medical Group, Woodard & Curran and Elsevier.

Franklin Savings Bank, based in Farmington, is a community bank that serves Maine’s western, central and Downeast regions from offices in Ellsworth, Farmington, Jay, Mt. Blue High School, Rangeley, Rumford, Skowhegan and Wilton. The bank was founded in 1868 and today employs more than 130 people.

Franklin Savings was ranked No. 18 among the largest Maine-based banks in the 2024 Mainebiz Book of Lists, based on assets of $608.9 million as of June 30, 2023.
