Here are the 134 Best Places to Work in Maine
From breweries to banks to builders, 134 businesses and organizations throughout the state have been named the 2023 Best Places to Work in Maine.
The competitive ranking, now in its 18th year, was made by the Maine State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management, Best Companies Group and Minneapolis-based BridgeTower Media. Names of the winning employers were released Friday.
To be considered, nominees had to be a for-profit or not-for-profit business or government entity at least a year old, employ at least 15 full- or part-time workers in Maine and operate a brick-and-mortar facility in the state.
The winners were selected according to two criteria: an evaluation of each nominee's workplace policies, practices and demographics, worth approximately 25% of the evaluation score, and an employee survey, which made up 75% of the score. The scores determined the top employers and their numerical rankings, which will be announced Oct. 11 in an evening ceremony at the Augusta Civic Center.
A publication profiling the winners will be distributed at the event and included in the Oct. 30 issue of Mainebiz.
“The 2023 Best Places to Work in Maine know that the people in their organizations are the key to their success. The companies foster a positive environment for innovative teams to thrive,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, managing director of BridgeTower Media's East Division.
