New hires

Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington hired Heather Lynn as a provider at Franklin Health Pediatrics. Lynn is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

InterMed in Portland hired Diana Perkins as director of human resources. Perkins was previously chief people officer at Indus Hospitality Group in Rochester, N.Y.

Northern Light Primary Care in Hampden hired Alisa Cleary as provider. Cleary specializes in family medicine and addiction medicine and is interested in general primary care for all ages, musculoskeletal conditions and addiction disorders.

Maine Community Bank in Biddeford hired Susan Mellon as executive vice president, customer experience and market expansion. Mellon most recently was executive vice president at Bangor Savings Bank.

Geiger, a promotional products distributor in Lewiston, hired Janice Gray as chief human resource officer and Tuan Huynh as chief information officer. Gray was previously director of human resources and corporate learning and development leader at CONMED in Westborough, Mass. while Huynh was at Cole Haan.

OTELCO, a fiber-to-the-premise and telephone provider in New Gloucester, hired Diana Snow as a director of service delivery, Tracy Belanger as an OSP schedule coordinator, Matthew Kasper as a residential sales director, Tyler Rocheleau as a sales support representative, Bernard Roderick as a sales account executive, William Lester as OSP level 2 technician, Darren Brawn as a technical support technician and Emily Valli as a talent acquisition specialist.

Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution hired Jeff Rieck as vice president, compliance manager, Stephanie Emery as a customer relationship officer in Biddeford, Mikhaela Helm as assistant manager of customer care in the Operations Center, Andrew Mockler as a marketing officer and Christopher Wieninger as a customer relationship officer in Scarborough.

United Way of Kennebec Valley in Augusta hired Katelyn Pushard as community engagement manager. Pushard was previously director of development and grant management at Children’s Center Early Intervention and Family Support.

Northern Light Pediatric Orthopedics in Bangor hired William Bassett as the only fellowship-trained surgeon in the state performing complex pediatric orthopedic surgery.

Verrill, a law firm in Portland, hired Rebecca Lessard as a trademark attorney in its intellectual property and technology group. Lessard has experience providing strategic counseling for clients’ global trademark portfolios.

Golden Pond Wealth Management in Waterville hired Jennifer Smith as a relationship manager.

Malone Commercial Brokers hired Luke Malone as a sales associate, Susie Pollard as marketing specialist, Carly Parent as broker assistant and marketing specialist and Cassie Demick as operations assistant.

Maine Medical Partners in Portland hired Dylan Atchley and Nellie Wood at Maine Medical Partners – Internal Medicine in Scarborough; Jaidip Chakravartti and Kunal Tandon at Maine Medical Partners – MaineHealth Cardiology in Scarborough; and Alice-Lee Vestner at MaineHealth – Geriatric Psychiatry.

Promotions

Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution promoted Mark Jones to executive vice president, John Mondor to vice president, marketing and communications manager, Amy Sanphy to customer relationship officer, Karen Gendron to transaction services manager, Cara Gobeil to auditor on the risk management team, Wayne Johnson to assistant vice president, Patrick DeCourcey to assistant retail lending manager and Tracy Mahoney to customer relationship officer.

Kennebec Savings Bank in Augusta promoted Ashlee Dixon to Winthrop branch manager. Dixon was previously a customer care and loan representative.

Central Maine Healthcare in Lewiston promoted Steven Littleson to president and CEO. Littleson was previously interim president and CEO.

Appointments

The Maine Council on Aging added Peter Baker, Catherine Ryder and Angela Westhoff to its board of directors. Baker is program manager for geriatrics at MaineHealth, Ryder is CEO at Tri-County Mental Health Services and Westhoff is CEO at Maine Health Care Association.

MDI Biological Laboratory in Bar Harbor added Robert Whitman to its board of trustees. Most recently, Whitman was executive director of the Curtain Foundation, a philanthropy with interests in the U.S., the United Kingdom and Africa.

The Maine Development Foundation in Hallowell elected Madeleine Braun as board chair, Joy Barresi Saucier as vice chair and Thomas Francoeur as treasurer. Braun is chief of presidential initiatives for the Jackson Laboratory, Saucier is executive director of Aroostook Agency on Aging and Francoeur is senior managing scientist at VHB Inc. In addition, the organization added Lisa Sockabasin, director of Wabanaki Public Health, and Linda Ball, vice president of customer service at Central Maine Power Co., as board members.

The Maine Service Employees Association, Local 1989 of the Service Employees International Union, re-elected Dean Staffieri as president and Allison Perkins as vice president, each for a two-year term effective Jan. 1. Staffieri is a rehabilitation counselor II for the Maine Department of Labor while Perkins is an overpayment specialist for the Maine Department of Health and Human Services.

Achievements

Terramor Outdoor Resort on Mt. Desert Island announced that it was named the winner of the “New Brand Launch” category in the 17th annual Hospitality Design Awards.

Ray Coultas, a former board member of the TriCorp Federal Credit Union in Westbrook, was inducted into the Cooperative Credit Union Association’s Hall of Fame.

Rinck Advertising, a marketing agency in Lewiston, said it won a “Gold Bell Ringer Award” from the PR Club of New England for its Dove Nourishing Body Care campaign featuring TikTok star, Lexy Burke.

The Aroostook County Action Program said Jamie Chandler, COO; Sue Powers, senior director of programs; and Amy Murchison, program coordinator, received Certified Community Action Professional Program endorsements.

The Maine Association of REALTORS in Augusta named Tom Cole its “State REALTOR of the Year Award” winner. Cole is with Better Homes and Gardens The Masiello Group in Brunswick. Geiger, a promotional products distributor in Lewiston, said that Miranda Persaud and Melissa Santiago earned the designation of Certified Advertising Specialist from Promotional Products Association International.

Coalition Greenwich, a division of S&P Global’s analytics company CRISIL, named Camden National Bank a “2021 Customer Experience Leader” in the retail banking category for a fourth straight year. The bank was one of only three U.S. banks recognized for retail banking excellence and one of two to be awarded for small business banking.
