New hires

Bar Harbor Trust Services hired Kimberly DeSchuiteneer as senior vice president, retirement plan coordinator. Most recently, DeSchuiteneer was vice president and wealth management officer at People’s United Bank in Manchester, N.H.

Central Maine Growth Council, a public-private collaborative regional economic development partnership in Waterville, hired Sabrina Jandreau as development coordinator.

MaineHealth in Portland hired Daniel Nigrin as chief information officer. Nigrin, is a pediatric endocrinologist and currently the senior vice president and chief information officer at Boston Children’s Hospital.

KeyBank in Portland hired Dillon Hamill as commercial banking relationship manager. Hamill was previously a commercial banking relationship manager with Wells Fargo and Co.

Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty in Portland hired Emilie Sommer as an agent in Portland and Joanne Moore as an agent in Damariscotta.

The city of Bangor hired Aaron Huotari as director of public works.

Northern Light Mercy Hospital in Portland hired Brandei Wingard as a cardiologist at Northern Light Mercy Cardiovascular Care. Wingard, who will also be the medical director of the hospital’s device clinic, was previously a cardiologist at Southern Maine Health Center.

R.M. Davis, a wealth management firm in Portland, hired Michael Neff as portfolio manager.

RE/MAX Shoreline in Portland hired Jim Brown as a Realtor in its Falmouth office.

Northern Light Pediatric Cancer Care in Bangor hired Daniel Callaway as an oncologist/hematologist. Callaway is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatrics and pediatric hematology and oncology.

Coldwell Banker Plourde Real Estate in Waterville hired Leslie Wilson. Most recently, Wilson was finance director for the Alfond Youth & Community Center.

Family Chiropractic Associates in Scarborough hired Jacob Henricksen as a board-certified chiropractor.

Promotions

Lighthouse Imaging, a contract development and manufacturing organization in Windham specializing in visualization systems for the medical device sector, promoted Tom Snyder to CEO.

Cerahelix Inc., a developer and manufacturer of disruptive ceramic nanofiltration membrane products in Bangor, promoted William Paulus to CEO. Paulus, who has 30 years of experience in manufacturing and global operations, previously served as COO.

Atlantic Federal Credit Union in South Portland promoted Chris McGorrill to chief marketing officer, Rachel Newman to senior vice president of human resources, Stacey Chenevert to senior vice president of retail, Jamie Mawhinney to senior vice president of loan servicing and Lucy Ditzel to director of human resources and training.

Appointments

Androscoggin Bank in Lewiston appointed Michael Malloy, Crystal Marchessault, Tom Moulton, Rob Pierson and Bill Stockmeyer as corporators. Malloy is an attorney at the Malloy Firm, Marchessault a partner at Austin Associates, Moulton is with NAI The Dunham Group, Pierson is president and CEO of Grover Precision and Stockmeyer is an attorney at Drummond Woodsum.

GrowSmart Maine added Kirstin Brewer and Philip Hussey to its board while also nominating Sally Stockwell to a second term and Ethan Boxer-Macomber to a third term. Brewer is with NRCM, Hussey is a vice president at Chenmark, Stockwell is a wildlife ecologist and Boxer-Macomber is with Anew Development LLC. In addition, the organization also elected Ben Smith as chair of its board; Boxer-Macomber, vice chair; Tom Rumpf, treasurer; and Maggie Fleming, secretary. Smith is with North Star Planning, Rumpf is a founding board member and treasurer of the organization and Fleming is an administration analyst at the town of Falmouth.

The University of Maine at Farmington appointed Mana Abdi, Jennifer Bjorn, Thomas Dukes, Mattie Lajoie, John Moore, Greg Patterson and Barbara Sergio to its board of visitors for 2020-21. Abdi is an advocate for Disability Rights of Maine; Bjorn, CFO, Kyes Insurance; Dukes, general counsel, SafeGuard Cyber; Lajoie, recent UMF graduate; Moore, owner/operator, Narrow Gauge Cinema; Patterson, manager, Farmington Walmart; and Sergio, senior director of quality and patient safety, Franklin Community Health Network.

The Home Care & Hospice Alliance of Maine in Manchester added Colleen Hilton and Daryl Cady to its board. Hilton, who will serve as president, is senior vice president of continuing care and president of Northern Light Home Care & Hospice while Cady, who will serve as vice president, is CEO of Hospice of Southern Maine.

Achievements

The Maine Association of Realtors in Augusta named Patti Lawton its “2020 Maine State Realtor of the Year.” Lawton is a realtor at Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty, Brunswick.

RE/MAX Shoreline in Portland said that Derrick Buckspan, broker and owner, was inducted as the 2021 president of the Greater Portland Board of Realtors.

U.S. Sen. Susan Collins received the “Friend of Home Health Section Award” from the American Physical Therapy Association and the “Guardian of Small Business Award” from the National Federation of Independent Business.

Faye Luppi was honored with the “Peter J. DeTroy III Award” by the Campaign for Justice for her work to reduce domestic violence. Luppi is an attorney who has led the Violence Intervention Partnership of Cumberland County Government for 20 years.
