Wright-Express names international president

Credit card processing firm Wright Express has named David Maxsimic president of Wright Express International after serving as vice president of the company's international division since May.

According to a press release from the company, Maxsimic has held various executive posts at the company over 14 years, including vice president of sales and marketing, senior vice president of sales, and vice president and general manager of Wright Express Direct Card.

Maxsimic will head up a division of the company that has seen several expansions over the past year.

In late August, the company acquired the Brazilian payroll card company, UNIK, for $21.9 million. That move followed a string of international acquisitions in recent years for the 900-employee company. In May, Wright Express acquired the London-based CorporatePay in a $27.5 million deal. In September 2010, the company purchased the Australian assets of Retail Decisions for $318 million.
