Sevee & Maher Engineers expands ownership team

Courtesy / Sevee & Maher Engineers Inc. Brian Pierce, a Maine-licensed professional engineer, and Lisa Jacob, a senior geologist and geophysicist, have been promoted to principals at the Cumberland-based civil and environmental engineering firm Sevee & Maher Engineers Inc.

Sevee & Maher Engineers Inc. in Cumberland has expanded its ownership team by promoting Brian Pierce, chief engineer, and Lisa Jacob, senior geologist, to principals.

Pierce and Jacob joined the civil and environmental engineering firm’s multidisciplinary leadership team of experts in civil engineering, environmental compliance, solid waste engineering, site investigation and remediation, geotechnical engineering and water resources.

Pierce has been with the firm for 20 years. He is a Maine-licensed professional engineer experienced in the management and design of civil and environmental engineering projects, construction management, and environmental site assessments, with specialized expertise in landfill engineering.

A Maine native, Pierce graduated from the University of Maine in Orono with a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering. He lives in Gray with his wife Amy and their two children.

Jacob, a senior geologist and geophysicist, joined the firm in 2014. She is a Maine-certified geologist with over 20 years of experience in site characterization and remediation, including hazardous waste investigations and remediation of soil, bedrock, and groundwater.

Jacob has a bachelor’s degree in geology from Smith College and a master’s in geology and geophysics from Wright State University. She lives in Cumberland with her husband Wayne Clark.
